Malia is one of our favorite musicians budding in Los Angeles.
Originally from Washington, she moved down to California in 2015 to pursue her dreams.
Her music is a good fusion of R&B, jazz and more, or as she describes it neo/alternative soul.
"When I’m not making music I enjoy all things in nature, nourishing my body through healthy eating and movement, and taking time to become more conscious & mindful of my thoughts and actions."
She's put out three EP's since her arrival with more euphonies in the queue.
We cruised down to Long Beach to experience her show with Soulection on the Queen Mary.
Malia, her guitarist Evan Mathews and drummer Xavier McHugh lit the place up.
"I like the G Pen Gio because it's convenient when I'm on the go, it's nice to have a quick alternative."
Be sure to catch up on her catalog. Her next LA show is September 27th at the Fonda Honda Theatre, we'll see you there.
