Last night we experienced Andy Frasco and the U.N. rock the hell out of the Lodge Room in Highland Park. Their music is “renowned for a jubilant jambalaya of rule-breaking rock n roll,” that fuses blues, soul and punk.
Andy, a Los Angeles native, has been touring the world for over a decade, playing up to 250 shows a year.
Following the release of their recent LP, him and the ensemble, Ernie Chang (saxophone), Shawn Eckels (guitar), Floyd Kellogg (bass), Andee Avila (drums), Arno Baker (trombone) are halfway through their Change of Pace tour.
Being the well versed musicians that they are, they switched instruments on multiple songs.
Andee's family (Sammy, Danny & John) came out to jam for a few joints.
Be sure to check out Andy and the maestros when they come to your town.
