Born and raised in Compton, pitmaster Kevin Bludso broke ground on his first restautrant in 2008 right in the heart of his hometown. The West Hollywood location, and sophomore effort, came to fruition 5 years later and now even Melbourne, Australia can be added to the list of cities lucky enough to boast the blessings of Kevin's culinary magic.
Although hailing from Compton, Bludso family roots reach back to Corsicana, Texas where Kevin's genealogy's expertise in slow-smoking meats dates back five generations.
Adolescent summers for Kevin were spent back in Texas perfecting the fundamentals of BBQing with the key assist from his granny, Willie Mae Field, ultimately propelling him to become the pit master maestro he is today and meriting Bludso's one of the best BBQ joints in Los Angeles.
