The roots of skateboarding's inception are thick & heavy here in the City of Angels. On June 21st, kids & adults alike from all over the county heeded the call for celebration of "Go Skateboarding Day", a holiday not only observed here in one of the skateboarding capitols of the world, but also around the rest of the globe.
Nike SB seized the opportunity to host an event at the legendary (& recently liberated) West LA Courthouse, aka the Santa Monica Courthouse.
Best trick contests, loud music & copious amounts of water consumption occupied the 100°+ temperature day.
Skateboarders, skateboard enthusiasts & curious observers of all ages, backgrounds & lifestyles from far & wide showed face to either participate in the celebration or just catch a glimpse of the action.

Nike SB pros & skateboarding luminaries made appearances at the end of the session for a quick demo & photo ops with the public. Eric Koston, Paul Rodriguez, Guy Mariano, Nyjah Huston & Sean Malto all blessed the event with their presence.
