Saturday marked the 4th Annual Camp Flog Gnaw Carnival, Tyler The Creator's, well, creation, that serves as part alternative hip-hop festival, part skateboarding competition, and part twisted carnival. Taking place at the LA Coliseum and Sports Arena, the sold-out festival attracted nearly 30,000 attendees.
Boasting a stacked lineup of everyone from young buzz artists to certified legends, the one-day festival at LA Coliseum delivered an ideal mix of up and coming and established acts such as Vince Staples, Danny Brown, Trash Talk, Jhene Aiko, The Internet, Flying Lotus, Atmosphere, Tokimonsta, A$AP Rocky, YG, Willow Smith, Tyler, The Creator, Odd Future, and Snoop Dogg.
Danny Brown
The skate contest, held inside the LA Sports Arena, shined with budding hungry talent competing for cash prizes. The street course had a variety of obstacles, including a hand rail, cherry bomb gap, rainbow hubba ledge and flat bar. Skaters were seen busting anything from hardflips over the cherry bomb gap to kickflip-overcrooking the GOLF WANG bench. After the contest, the course was open for a free skate to anyone that brought a board.
Flying Lotus
Music highlights included a last-minute Flying Lotus performance, who subbed in for a canceling Flosstradamus, a full jazz band-backed incarnation of The Internet, a raucous Danny Brown set inside of the Sports Arena, and a big dose of nostalgia thanks to Atmosphere.

Snoop Dogg and The Dogg Pound held down the headlining slot and took the crowd through a 70 minutes non-stop onslaught of classic and current hits, from Doggystyle all the way through Snoop's current Beach City side project. Snoop's high energy set ran until the midnight sound curfew, and culminated in a full sing-a-long with Tyler the Creator, A$AP Rocky, and French Montana.
