In 2014, renowned Los Angeles Photographer Willie T traveled to London with Primitive Apparel to document the demise of British glamour modeling and its fleeting presence in mainstream British media. Much like we've seen with the recent loss of nudity in U.S.-based Playboy, British tabloids have ceased to allow topless photography in their pages. Primitive Apparel and Willie T hoped to capture one final glamour shoot before new laws prohibiting topless advertising went into effect.
With the photos captured from the trip, Primitive launched their Primitive Glamour collection of tees, hats, hoodies, skate decks, and playing cards on Saturday at a pop-up event at The Seventh Letter on Fairfax Avenue in Los Angeles, California.
In addition to the apparel line, the photos were displayed in an exquisitely arranged gallery, and were available as individual prints or inside a collaborative issue of Frank 151 magazine.
The prints and apparel line are available for purchase now through December 5th at The Seventh Letter at 346 N Fairfax Ave, Los Angeles, CA 90036
