High expectations are an expected result when the best stamp is slapped on to any restaurant's title. After catching wind that Doomie's Home Cookin' was "one of the best Vegan restaurants in Los Angeles," we clearly had to check in on this ourselves.
Tucked into the corner of an unassuming plaza at the southwest corner of Vine & Fountain, Doomie's is basically a drunk-vegan-at-2:30am-leaving-the-bar-after-last-call's version of heaven (although they unfortunately don't keep their doors open that late). Vegan "comfort food" at its finest.
Their version of the iconic American culinary staple, the "Big Mac", has a flavor remarkably similar that that of the McDonald's O.G., but better (in our opinion, of course).
The dining tables are plastered with an array of classic comic book graphics, which is a perfect visual for zoning out & reminiscing after a few sessions with the G Pen Elite.
The mock Buffalo Legs were a definite fav amongst the GLIFE crew. There's nothing quite like the absolute satisfaction of "guilt-free" indulgence.
